Obituary

Salem: Wilfred A. ‘Babe’ LaRoche, entered into rest at the age of 92 on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 in Langdon Place of Exeter, NH, where he had been a resident for the past 6 years. He was predeceased by his caring wife Ida C. (Boucher) LaRoche who passed away in May of 2002.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Odilon and Eledia (Marchand) LaRoche. A former resident of 15 Buchanan Rd., in Salem, he was formerly employed by General Electric of Lynn and was co-owner of North Shore Optical in Salem.

He is survived by 7 children, Claudette Dreier of New Mexico, Doris Floyd, Phillip LaRoche, Rita Savickey, Pauline Crampsey, Michaeline LaRoche-Ouellette all of Massachusetts, Paul LaRoche of Maine and their spouses. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, July 26, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem, MA. Funeral services will be private.
