Myrtle L. Powell Reynolds
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, July 21, 2010, Mrs. Myrtle L. Powell Reynolds, 95, wife of the late Aaron Estes Reynolds, Sr.
Mrs. Reynolds was a native of Augusta and resided in Grovetown most of her life. She was a member of Grove Baptist Church in Grovetown where she was a member of the T.E.L. Sunday School Class. She worked as a lunch room manager in Richmond County Schools. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of Senior Friends, Georgia Farm Bureau, and School Food Service Association.
Mrs. Reynolds served the Lord, her family and her community, faithfully, tirelessly, and without fanfare. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always had a positive attitude, a loving spirit, and was an encouragement to all who knew her. “Her children rise up and call her blessed.” Proverbs 31:28.
Family members include her children: Juanita Reynolds Whitaker (Warren) of Midland City, AL, Margaret Reynolds Wiggins (Wayne) of Evans, GA, Aaron Estes Reynolds (Janis) of Athens, GA, Patricia Reynolds Lines (David) of Covington, GA; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and brother: Carlford Powell of Arizona. Mrs. Reynolds was predeceased by her parents: Alexander Avery and Virginia Luke Powell; brothers: Clarence Powell, Cluese Powell, Charlie Powell; and sisters: Mary Powell Ponder and Margaret Powell.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Rodger Murchison and Rev. Frank Thigpen officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandson-in-laws.
