Scott Francis Beddia, 52, of East Bridgewater, went to be with the Lord from his home and surrounded by his family on Monday afternoon, July 19th. Scott is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-nine years, Diane and his children Nicole, Danielle and Timothy. He was a devoted son to his parents, John and Barbara Beddia, a brother to his siblings, Stephen Beddia and his wife Susan, Sandra and her husband Alton Douglass, Sharon and her husband Phil Wardner, Susan and her husband Darren Hall, Sheila Sherwood and John Beddia and his wife Janet.
He was born and raised in Brockton, MA and attended Southeastern Regional High School, where he began his career as a master carpenter. Scott’s passion for carpentry was exhibited through his twenty-eight year career as a Local 33 Union Carpenter.
Scott prided himself as a man of God. His family and friends may remember Scott for his precision, sense of humor, or his ability to turn any experience into a teachable moment. Although he was a man of few words, his impact was impressionable. Some of his fondest memories included vacations camping on Sandy Neck Beach, trips to Florida and Cape Cod with his family.
In his free time, Scott invested himself in one of his countless interests which often included a trade, working with his hands or outdoors. Antiques, vintage Matchbox, remodeling cars and motorcycles, gardening and dominoes with his wife and parents were some of the activities that brought him joy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 22nd in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, from 4:00-8:00PM. His funeral services will be held on Friday, July 23rd at 10:00AM in the Brockton Assembly of God Church, 199 Warren Ave, Brockton, MA. Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater, MA. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Scott’s name to the Brockton Assembly of God Church/Building Fund ,199 Warren Ave, Brockton, MA 02301.
