Valrico, Florida---Harry N. Hamilton, 81, long time resident of Laconia, N. H., died at his home at 232 Tahoe Circle, Valrico, Florida on Monday, June 21, 2010.
Harry was born in Laconia, son of William and Mildred (Joyal) Hamilton. He served in the U. S. Navy and was employed by the Laconia Police Department as a Sergeant for many years, later retiring from the Laconia State School as Head of Security.
Harry was a member of the NH State Employees Association, served as president of the Brandon Senior Friends, was a member of the Lodge of Elks, American Legion and was an Egypt Shriner.
Survivors include a son, Andrew Hamilton, and wife, Gretchen, of Bossier City, Louisiana; a daughter, Lucinda Hamilton of Santee, California; two step children, Nancy Allen of Laconia and Anthony Contigiani, and wife, Mary, from Alpharetta, Georgia; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; a sister, Marion Loring, of; Mass. and a loving companion, Annette Lindsay, of Brandon, Florida. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Charlotte Contigiani Hamilton, four brothers, John, Carl, George and Robert Hamilton, a sister, Marguerite Lemay, a son-in-law, Eddie Allen, and by his faithful dog, Tuxedo.
A Graveside Service will be held at the family lot in St. John’s Cemetery, Tilton, on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 11:00AM.
