Obituary

HAVERHILL: Juanita F."Pepper" (Martin) Clemons, 66, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Paul R. Clemons with whom she was happily married to for twelve years and was the love of her life.

Born in Newburyport, MA on May 22, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Ferolyn (Dickie) Martin, Dinsmore. She had resided at the Hadley West Apartments in Haverhill for many years.

She was affectionately known as "Pepper" to many of her friends and others that she befriended through the years. Juanita was a woman with a big heart and was known for being a devoted, caring and generous person. She was extremely fond of her closest friends, Jeannie Tellier who was there for her when her health started to fail, her knitting partner, Rita at Hadley West Apartments and she adored Marion O'Brien, who had become like a second mother to her over the years. A special thanks to her teacher, Cindy who helped her cope with her handicap and always went the extra mile for her and to Liz, Eddie, Sue, Carol and Vicky and her children who were several of the many people's lives she touched. Juanita was a frequent passenger on the MVTA bus line and had become very friendly with the local drivers. She was known to even help them with some of their errands and to pick them up a coffee from time to time. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her two sisters and a brother-in-law, Meredith D. and Joe Wysocki of Haverhill and Ferolyn L. Smith of Newton, NH, three aunts, Claire Middleton and Muriel Coffey both of Haverhill and Cassandra Drowne of TN, two nieces, Rebecca MacKenna and Ferolyn A. Smith, two nephews, Steven P. Smith, and James Smith, four great-nieces, Krista D. MacKenna, C.C. Smith and Elizabeth and Ferolyn H. Smith, two great-nephews, Caleb and Evan Smith, and one great-great niece, Kyla S. MacKenna.

A funeral service for Juanita will be announced at a later date.
