Koren Lynn Mary daCruz, 29, of New Bedford died November 15, 2003 of heart complications at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the daughter of Claire daCruz of New Bedford, and was raised by her adoptive parents, Deacon Antonio M. daCruz of Dartmouth and the late Joanna (Santos) daCruz.
Ms. daCruz was born in Providence, RI, and had lived in Dartmouth and New Bedford for most of her life. She was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, where she performed in several chorus concerts and talent shows.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, where she was very active as a youth.
She enjoyed playing the piano.
Survivors include her mother; her adoptive father; 5 sisters, April Agbai of Brockton, Linda Teixeira of Marion, Joan Lopes and Andrea Barrett, both of New Bedford, and Anita Atalig of Tamuning, Guam; 2 brothers, Antonio M. daCruz, Jr. of New Bedford and Miguel J. daCruz of Dartmouth; a grandmother, Ilene daCruz of New Bedford; 20 nieces and nephews; and a host of aunts and uncles.
She was the sister of the late Tina daCruz.
