HAVERHILL: Dorothy B. (Bailey) Cullen, 98, died Saturday, March 27, 2010 in the Penacook Place in Haverhill. She was the wife of the late Earl H. White, Sr. and the late Albert B. Cullen who died in 2001.
Born in Hampstead, New Hampshire on August 29, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Fred O. and Bernice M. (Foss) Bailey. She was a graduate of Hampstead High School and attended the McIntosh Business College in Haverhill.
Dorothy was employed as a bookkeeper at a local shoe manufacturing firm in Hampstead for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and spending time at her favorite family vacation spots. She will always be remembered for a having a big heart and a generous spirit.
She is survived by her two sons, Earl "Hux" H. White, Jr. and his wife, Lesley A. of Hampstead, NH and Kent R. White of Georgetown, one daughter, Joan D. Cemate and her husband, Robert C. of Westwood, one daughter-in-law, Beatrice White of Haverhill, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her son, Robert B. White and a daughter-in-law, Arlene E. (Purcell) White.
At the request of the family, her services will be privately held in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill.
