BOXFORD: Janice M. (Yeskelevitch) Connell, 72, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 in the Lawrence General Hospital. She was the wife of David E. Connell.
Born in Kingston, New Hampshire on September 18, 1937, Janice was a graduate of Haverhill High School class of 1955. She had resided in Haverhill for many years before making her home in Boxford in 1970.
She enjoyed playing bingo in her younger years, was an avid knitter and loved to spend time gardening. More recently she also loved taking trips to Foxwoods Casinos. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered for tending to her home and taking much pride in her job as a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-laws, Lisa and Daniel O'Shea of Gastonia, NC, formerly of Topsfield, Kimberly and Daniel Shaw, Jr. of Groveland and Erin and Mark Nardone of Andover; five grandchildren, Daniel and Meaghan O'Shea, Cara Shaw and Mark and Rachel Nardone; three brothers, John Anthony of Fairfield, CA, James Anthony of Portsmouth, NH and Jerry Anthony of Round Rock, TX. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Holden.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday in the Sacred Hearts Church, S. Main St., Bradford at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
