Obituary

TEWKSBURY: James H. Lemieux, 58, formerly of Haverhill, died Friday, August 21, 2009 at his home following a long battle with colon cancer. He was the husband of Deborah A. (Boudreau) Lemieux.

Born in Haverhill on December 14, 1950 he was the son of the late Sherwood "Brud" and Mary (O'Neil) Lemieux. After graduation from Haverhill High School, Jim served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Jim worked tirelessly in the auto sales business for over thirty years in the New England area. Jim loved his family above all else. He was a kind and loving husband, a great dad, a great Papa and had a great sense of humor. He loved golf and enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox.

In addition to his wife of nearly twenty-five years, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew G. and Kathleen G. Lemieux of Northwood, NH, a step-daughter, Malyssa J. and her husband, Christopher Marcotte of Bartlett, NH, a step-son, Martin R. and his wife, Shannon Engel of Tewksbury, a grandson, Logan J. Lemieux, four step-grandchildren, Madelyn, Meghan and Macie Rose Marcotte and Trevor Engel, a sister, Shirley and her husband, Carl Finley of Port Charlotte, FL and a nephew, Timothy and his wife, Erin Cleary of Haverhill.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday in the St. James Parish, Winter St., Haverhill at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Monday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill from 4 - 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
