Obituary

BRADFORD: Patricia A. (O'Brien) Buckley, 60, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at her home following a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Kevin M. Buckley.

Born in Haverhill on January 7, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Herring) O'Brien. She was a lifelong resident of Bradford and a graduate of Haverhill High School class of 1966.

Patty's devotion in life was to care for and love her husband, children and grandchildren. For many years she worked as a teacher's aide in the Haverhill public school system with special needs students. Patty enjoyed bowling, dancing, crocheting, cooking, spending afternoons with friends at the beach as well as taking endless trips to pay tribute to the Indians.

In addition to her husband of thirty-seven years, she is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Kerry L. and Larry Napolitano of Holden and Meaghan J. and Donald Minion of Haverhill, two sons, Ryan M. Buckley of Haverhill and Regan M. Buckley and his fiancée, Jessica Field of Windham, NH, three grandchildren Dylan R. Field and Ainsley and Sean Napolitano, two sisters, Joanne Archambault of Haverhill and Arline O'Brien of Amesbury, a brother, William and his wife, Linda O'Brien of Haverhill, mother-in-law, Margaret J. Buckley of Lawrence and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by a brother-in-law, Arthur Archambault.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 S. Main St., Bradford at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill from 2 - 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843. Interment will be held in St. James Cemetery, Haverhill.
