Claire M. (Masse) Burnham, 87, died Saturday, May 23, 2009 in the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill. She was the wife of the late Raymond W. Burnham who died in March of 2008.
Born in Haverhill on October 19, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rose (Soucy) Masse. A lifelong resident of Haverhill, Claire was a graduate of St. Joseph's School and Haverhill High School class of 1939.
Claire was employed as a technician at the former Lucent Technologies in North Andover for twenty-one years before retiring in 1981. She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Church in Haverhill.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie M. and Jeffrey M. Kaye of Burlington and Laurie A. and James A. Mooradian of Haverhill, three grandsons, Jamie Roberts of Peabody and Ethan and Matthew Mooradian both of Haverhill, a niece, Linda Timmons and a nephew, Lee Timmons.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday in the St. John the Baptist Church, Lincoln Avenue, Haverhill at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Allegiance Hospice and Hannah Duston Healthcare for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Allegiance Hospice, 67 Middle St., Suite 503, Lowell, MA 01852. Interment will be held in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
