Obituary

Armina M. "Mina" (Robillard) Lavallee, 91, died Thursday, April 16, 2009 in the Colonial Poplin Assisted Living Facility in Fremont. She was a loving wife of 52 years to the late Leo S. Lavallee who died in December of 1988.

Born in Fitchburg, MA on December 21, 1917 she was the daughter and one of 12 children of the late Emile and Marie (Bedard) Robillard. She had attended the Fitchburg school system.

Living in Tewksbury, MA for many years she was a homemaker and seamstress. An active member of St. Williams Parish and acting prefect of St. Williams Sodality in 1964 & 1965 and a volunteer for the fish program. She also enjoyed many years on the bowling league and was an active member and President of the Tops Club.

Moving to Danville, NH in 1974 and loving the small town life, she joined the Danville Fire Bells where she was a very hard worker and active member for many years. She was known for her hand made money dolls at the annual Penny Sale. She also started and was a former President of the Tops Club in NH. She moved to Fremont three years ago.
A long time member of St. Anne's Parish in Hampstead, she was a member of the Tabernacle Society and worked part time at Holy Angels Rectory in Plaistow.
She loved the Boston Red Sox and said she felt blessed to have seen them win the World Series. Family, friends, and all who have ever known her, will always remember Mina as a kind and loving woman who will forever be in our hearts.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Donohoe of Hampstead, NH, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert L. Lavallee of Windham, ME and Gary and Mary Lavallee of Danville, NH, daughter-in-law, Rebecca Janco and her husband, Gary of Sandown, NH, 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She is also survived by her two brothers, Edward Robillard of Winchendon, MA and George and his wife, Alice Robillard of Westminster, MA and many nieces and nephews. She was the loving mother of daughter, Jacqueline who passed on in 1949, son, David who passed on in 1986, loving grandmother of Susan who passed on in 1972 and Danielle Janco who passed on in 2005.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday in St. Anne's Church, Emerson Ave., Hampstead, NH at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill from 3 - 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Little Sisters of St. Francis, Our Lady of the Angels Convent, P.O. Box 478, Danville, NH 03819.
