Thomas F. Curtis, age 62, died Thursday evening, January 29, 2009 in the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Lowell.
Born in Haverhill on July 2, 1946, he was the son of the late Thomas C. and Ethel K. (Pike) Curtis. He was a lifelong resident of Haverhill, attended Haverhill public schools, and was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School. An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
Thomas was employed at Bradley's Department Store in Plaistow and was also once employed as a machinist for over twenty years at the former Haverhill Paperboard Company.
He is survived by his four children, Christopher Johnson, Carol Rheaume, Thomas Curtis Jr., and Lee Curtis, two grandchildren, Nolan Curtis and Thomas Curtis III, three sisters, Dona Colby, Patricia Swiger, and Rosemary Plourde, five brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Judith Curtis, Robert and Beatrice Curtis, Fred and Lisa Curtis, Dennis and Theresa Curtis, and Charles and Janet Curtis, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
His funeral services will be held on Monday, February 2, in the Linnehan Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill, at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, February 1, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in the Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
