Burnham, Raymond W., age 86 of Haverhill, died Wed., March 12, 2008 at Hannah Duston Long Term Health Care Center, Haverhill.
Mr. Burnham had been a resident of Haverhill all of his life, born Dec. 11, 1921, the son of Frank and Jennie (Collins) Burnham. He was educated in the Haverhill school system, and a was a 1939 graduate of Haverhill High School. Ray served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He had worked for Lucent Technologies, Inc., No. Andover, for 37 years until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish, Haverhill; Wilbur M. Comeau American Legion Post No. 4, Haverhill; and the Hannah Duston Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 20, Haverhill.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Claire M. (Masse) Burnham of Haverhill; his two daughters, Bonnie M. Kaye and her husband Jeffrey M. of Burlington and Laurie A. Mooradian and her husband James A. of Haverhill; grandsons, Jamie Roberts of Peabody, Ethan Mooradian, and Matthew Mooradian of Haverhill; niece Linda Timmons; and nephew Lee Timmons.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Fri., March 14, in St. John the Baptist Church, 114 Lincoln Ave., Haverhill at 11:30 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Mill Street, Haverhill. At the request of the family, there will be no funeral home calling hours.
