James T. Fitzgerald

PHOENIX, AZ - James T. Fitzgerald, age 41, a former resident of Boca Raton, Fla., andBillerica, died unexpectedly, from an accidental injury, Nov. 14, in Phoenix.
He was born in Medford, MA, Nov. 17, 1961, the son of Irene (Fitzgerald) Sorensen of Billerica,and James D. Fitzgerald of Georgia, formerly of Somerville. He was raised in Medford, andgraduated from the Billerica’s Shawsheen Tech High School in 1980. After working in amanagement position at Colorado Prime, Co, for several year, he returned to college. Hegraduated from the Florida-Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, with a B.S. in Finance,and relocated to Phoenix.
He was currently employed as a computer software analyst for Blueprint Q.A. Consulting.
He enjoyed ice hockey in his youth and adulthood, and his love of children was demonstrated by his coaching of youth ice hockey leagues in the Florida area.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister Lee; brother-in-law Glen Cohen of GA; his adoringniece Rachael; his loving nephews, Joshua and Adam; in addition, his step-father, Hoagy Sorensenof Billerica; his cousin Anne Macaluso and Bob Sullivan of NH; Godson John Sullivan ofTewksbury; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins; close friends Ken Minerly and RickMucciaceio of Boca Raton, Fla.; and his work family at Blueprint Q.A. Consulting in Phoenix.
His Funeral Mass was held, Saturday, Nov. 22, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, No.Tewksbury.
