Langlois, Frances C. (Whalen), age 83 of Haverhill, died Easter Sunday morning, March 23, 2008 at Wingate at Haverhill, North Avenue, Haverhill.
Mrs. Langlois was born in Haverhill on October 2, 1924, the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Malone) Whalen, both of Prince Edward Isle, Canada. She was educated in St. James School, and was a 1943 graduate of St. James High School. She also attended McIntosh Business College, Haverhill. She had been a resident of Haverhill all of her life.
She was employed by Lucent Technologies, Inc. of North Andover for 25 years until her retirement in 1987. Mrs. Langlois was a member of St. James Parish, Haverhill; and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was married for over 30 years to the late Wallace A. Langlois, who died October 28, 1983.
She is survived by her sons, Paul W. Langlois and his wife Paula of Hampstead, NH, Wallace A. Langlois, Jr. of Amesbury, and Brian J. Langlois and his wife Lesley of Haverhill; grandchildren, Christopher Langlois, Jenny Lee, Rachel Langlois, and Sarah Langlois; great grandson, Connor; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The last of six siblings, she was the sister of the late, Mary Moore, John Whalen, Thomas Whalen, Dorothy McDonough, and Daniel Whalen.
Her Funeral will be held Friday morning, March 28 in the C. Frank Linnehan and Son Haverhill Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. James Church, 185 Winter Street, Haverhill at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill. Calling Hours Thursday, March 27, 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Relatives and friends invited.
