Masello, Rose Ann (Matt), age 62 of Atkinson, NH, formerly of Revere's Beachmont Section, died Sunday morning, April 27, 2008 surrounded by her family at her residence.
She was born in Boston, on March 4, 1946, the daughter of Elizabeth (Fabiano) Matt and the late Nicholas Matt. She was raised in East Boston, attended East Boston schools, and was graduated from East Boston High School.
She married Joseph M. Masello in 1966 and resided in the Beachmont Section of Revere for 25 years before moving to Atkinson, NH in 1996. She was employed by John Hancock Financial Services, Boston, as a Contract Service Representative for over 20 years until her retirement in 2005.
After retirement she began volunteering in different capacities with the Atkinson Police Department, Atkinson, NH. Mrs. Masello had camped during the summer for over 30 years with her family at Angle Pond Grove, Sandown, NH; she was an avid reader, never going anywhere without a book; and, most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Masello, who died May 16, 2005. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth (Fabiano) Matt of East Boston; loving sons, Joseph N. Masello and his wife Christine M. of Atkinson, NH and David J. Masello and his companion Debra J. Bally of Londonderry, NH; grandchildren, Domenic R. Masello of Atkinson, NH, Anthony J. Masello of Atkinson, NH, and Stephen M. Bally of Londonderry, NH; sisters, Geraldine Terrizi and her husband Anthony of No. Reading and Jeanie Ippolito and her husband Anthony J. of Tewksbury; brother, Frank Matt and his wife Ginny of Revere; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 1 in the C. Frank Linnehan and Son Haverhill Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill, at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, 8 Atkinson Depot Road (Route 121), Plaistow, NH, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Atkinson Cemetery, Main Street, Atkinson, NH. Calling hours Wednesday, 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Relatives and friends invited.
