Mansfield, Sheila E. (Kelly), age 72, a lifelong resident of Groveland, died Monday, May 12, 2008 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.
She was born March 10, 1936, the daughter of the late Robert E. and Jesena E. (Paradis) Kelly. She was educated in Sacred Hearts School, Bradford, and was graduated from St. James High School, Haverhill, Class of 1955.
She had worked for Lucent Technologies, the former Western Electric Co., for over forty years until her retirement in 1998. She had extensively traveled throughout the world and also enjoyed many things in life, including crafts, gardening, painting, going to lunches with her friends, her Christmas village collection, and camping in the early years with her young children. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and, most importantly, loved to cheer on her grandchildren during their little league games. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the St. James High School Class of 1955 Reunion Committee, and St. Patrick's Parish, Groveland.
She is survived by her her children, James E. and his wife Virginia F. Mansfield of Kingston, NH, Michael E. Mansfield of Groveland, Joan E. Dalton and her husband Jack F. of Groveland, Jane E. Mansfield and her husband Joshua M. Coon of Bradford, and William E. Mansfield of Groveland; sisters, Mary Ellen Boggiatto of Groveland and Roberta E. and her husband Anthony M. Fronduto of Groveland; special cousin Richard Fecteau of Sequim, Washington; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She is the mother of the late Robert E. Mansfield.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16, 2008 in the C. Frank Linnehan and Son Bradford Funeral Home, 52 Salem Street, Bradford at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick's Church, 114 Center Street, Groveland at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Main Street, Groveland. Calling hours Thursday, 4:00-8:00 p.m. Relatives and friends invited.
