Mr. Edward J. Galvin, age 53, Of Medford formerly of Revere, passed away Friday following a brief illness. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of Helen (Boudreau) and Henry J. Galvin of Medford. Edward worked for the gorvernment as a quality assurance inspector for over twenty-five years. He worked a number of years with the Sterling Wear Co. of East Boston. Edward enjoyed the outdoors and loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was a talented carpenter and enjoyed working with his hands. Edward was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, Edward is survived by two sons; Jared Galvin of Portland, ME and Dana E. Galvin of No. Andover. He is also survived by his sister Geraldine Galvin and is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Galvin.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Wednesday at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church 512 High St. Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
