Boucher, Frances E. (Fortier), age 79 of Haverhill, died Monday, June 9, 2008 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Boucher was born in Haverhill on July 10, 1928, the daughter of the late Leon and M. Edna (Surrette) Fortier. She was a lifelong resident of Haverhill and was educated in the Haverhill Public School System. She had worked for many years at several Haverhill shoe manufacturing firms as a stitcher, as well as having a home and raising her family with her husband.
She was married for sixty years to the late Oliver J. Boucher, who died August 6, 2005. She enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, all animals, was an avid crossword puzzler, and, most importantly, enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia A. Jalbert and her husband Gerard E. of Kingston, NH, Darlene F. Rembis and her husband Stephen J. of Haverhill, Heidi J. Nooney and her husband John C. of Tewksbury, and Andrea McCracken and her husband Dennis P. of Haverhill; sons, Joseph O. Boucher and partner Albert Underhill of Newburyport and Glenn E. Boucher and his wife Charlene of Methuen; twenty-one grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard Fortier and his wife Mary of Millis and Barbara Marcotte of Haverhill; brother and sister in-laws, Roland Boucher and his wife Nancy of Haverhill and George Boucher, Jr. and his wife Marlene of Haverhill; and also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, June 12, 2008 in the C. Frank Linnehan and Son Haverhill Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Avenue, Haverhill at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Maplewood-North Parish Cemetery, Main Street, Haverhill. Calling hours Wednesday, 4:00-7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends invited.
