Phyllis T. (Balesterie) Paleo, a life-long resident of Boston’s North End died Friday at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She was 92.
Mrs. Paleo was born and raised in the North End, the daughter of the late Carmine and the late Angelina (Piccardi) Balesterie. Phyllis worked at Massachusetts General Hospital as a health care provider until her retirement. A dear friend to many in the North End, she enjoyed the company of her loving family and friends.
The beloved wife of the late Patrick J. Paleo, Phyllis was a devoted mother to Patrick Paleo and his wife Caryl of Jacksonville, FL, Robert Paleo and Rosemarie Fabiano of Saugus and the late Angela Paleo. She leaves her loving grandchildren: Patrick, Tracey, Christopher, Kathleen, Sherry, the late Robert, Christine and Vickie Ann, 10 great grandchildren 2 great-great grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Anna Lutz and her husband Joseph of New York.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday July 21 at 8:45 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston, at 9:45 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
