Obituary








Gilmanton----Herbert W. Coman, III, 58, of 27 Rose Avenue, Gilmanton died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, Friday July 16, 2010 after battling Melanoma cancer.
Herb was born August 11, 1951 in Quonzet Point, RI. the son of Herbert W. Coman, Jr. and Beverly (Buddington). He was raised in Texas and graduated from Texas A&M.
Herb had been a resident of Gilmanton since 2000 coming from Salem. He had served in the US Armed Forces for 22 years retired as a Captain in the US Army. He had been employed at Smith Tubular Systems-Laconia Inc. for many years.
Herb enjoyed being at home with his family and working on computers. He also enjoyed his “WHOOP” mobile (his RV) and watching the Aggies (Gig ‘Em).
Survivors include his wife of 10 years Christie (Capozzi) Coman of Gilmanton; a son Christopher of Gilmanton; 2 daughters Mindy of Conn. and Melissa of Franklin; his father Herbert W. Coman, Jr. of Conn; his mother Beverly Doney of Fla.; 4 brothers Phillip, Mark, John and Matt; 2 sisters Beth and Debbi and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother Scott.
Calling hours will be held on Monday July 19, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street Laconia, NH 03246 using the Carriage House entrance.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 11:00 at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations many be made to Lakes Region General Hospital Oncology Dept. 80 Highland Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
