Obituary

Fernande M. Dupere, 94, of Manchester, NH, died Saturday July 17, 2010, in the Holy Cross Healthcare Center in Manchester, NH. She was born in Derry, NH on April 25, 1916, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Yvonne (Fluet) Marchand, and had been a lifelong resident of Londonderry and Derry. She had been employed as a shoe stitcher for Klev Bro Shoe Co. in Derry for 28 years. She had also been employed as a waitress at the Ideal Grill in Derry and at the Yankee Flyer in Nashua. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and crossword puzzles, but family was her greatest enjoyment.
She is survived by two daughters, Sr. Diane Y. Dupere, CSC (Sisters of Holy Cross) of Merrimack, NH, and Andrea R. Pope of Derry; two sons, Arthur W. Dupere of Derry, and Leonard M. Dupere of Campton, NH; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence P. Dupere in 1976, and her sister Theresa Fortin.
Calling hours were held on Monday, July 19th from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 1:00pm in St. Marks Church, 1 South Road, Londonderry. The burial was in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Londonderry. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Development Office, Sisters of Holy Cross, 377 Island Pond Rd., Manchester, NH 03109.
