Marie-Rose Lacroix, 86, of Crawford St., Woonsocket, died peacefully Thursday afternoon at The Friendly Home surrounded by her family.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late George and Dianise (Croteau) Paquette. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Lacroix worked for General Instruments before retiring.
Marie-Rose’s most cherished role in life was being a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, family vacations, and spending time at local beaches.
She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne B. DiCicco, and her husband John, of Barrington, and Diane Turner, and her husband Glen, of Woonsocket, a brother, Roger Paquette of Woonsocket, and two sisters, Beatrice Plante of Woonsocket, and Lorraine Sabourin of CT. She was the mother of the late Marcel G. Lacroix and sister of the late Robert Paquette. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Amy Rectenwald, and her husband John, Becky Lacroix, Melissa Picard, and her husband Mat, and Kimberly Barrette, three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Katelyn, and Abigail, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Monday from 5-8 pm.
