Edith F. McMenamy passed away peacefully at North Hill Skilled Nursing Facility in the early morning of July 17 of natural causes at the age of 93. She had lived for the past 8 years at Avery Crossing Assisted Living in Needham and was previously a long time resident of North Easton.
She is survived by her sister, Hortense Decker of Southbury, CT, her son Richard Reynolds and daughter in law Pamela, both of Needham, her grandson Seth Reynolds and his wife Sandra, and her great-grandchildren Sofia and Gustavo, all of Needham, her grandson Benjamin, of Las Vegas, and her nephew, Albert Decker, his wife Janet and son Jack, all of Florence, MA.
Edith was born in New York City of Sophie and Albert Rowland and lived in the greater New York City area for much of her life. After moving to Massachusetts, she worked for many years as a nursing aide at the West Acres Nursing home in Brockton, MA. and was active in the Order of the Eastern Star. She was married to the late Francis McMenamy of North Easton and was step-mother to Nancy Carter and Elizabeth Collins. Funeral services will be private.
