Susan B. "Sue" (Mikoluk) Cunningham, 50, of Stoneham, MA died Friday afternoon July 16, 2010 in the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA after a long illness. Born in Winchester, MA on March 10, 1960, Sue was one of four daughters and one son of the late Adam & Jean A. (Costello) Mikoluk. Sue was raised and educated in the Woburn, MA school system and was a graduate of Woburn High School Class of 1977. After graduation, Sue took employment with the Hewlett-Packard Company in Billerica, MA as a computer programmer for the company for the next 12 years. In September 27, 2006, she married her sweetheart, James P. Cunningham, the couple lived in Woburn and later moved to Stoneham, MA. Sue put up a long hard battle with cancer for many years and always kept a positive attitude about her illness. In her spare time, Sue enjoyed crocheting and cooking for family and friends. She cherished her time at her cottage in Laconia, NH with her family & friends. She enjoyed playing her piano and the company of all her cats. She was a longtime resident of Woburn and was formerly of Billerica and had lived in Stoneham for the last four years.
In addition to her beloved husband James, Sue was the devoted mother of Michael Finnerty of TX and Casey Finnerty of Lowell, MA; loving sister of Barry E. Mikoluk and his wife of Ann of Chelmsford, MA, Jayne E. O’Connell and her husband Kevin of Candia, NH, Brenda J. Mikoluk of Woburn and Christine M. Brophy and her husband David of MD. Cherished aunt of Edward W. Reid, Lauren & Lacey Mikoluk, Tanner, Lowell and Evan Brophy.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 from 1-5pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance, 910 17th St., N.W., Ste. 1190, Washington, DC 20006.
