Sandwich, MA.-Brenda (Vargas) Gomes age 48 years of New Bedford, died Saturday July 10, 2010 at Mc Carthy Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving mother of Lauren Mac Eachern of Fall River and Timmy Cregan of New Bedford. Brenda was the sister of Richard Vargas Jr. and Michael Vargas both of FL.
Mrs. Gomes was the daughter of Richard and Lillian (Medeiros) Vargas of Dartmouth. She was the wife of Eric Gomes of New Bedford. She was born in San Mateo, CA. and has lived in this area most of her life. Brenda was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked in many of our local nursing facilities.
Mrs. Gomes’ Mass of Christian Burial with Ashes present will be celebrated at St. Julie Billiart Church Dartmouth Monday at 11 A.M. Everyone is invited to go directly to church.
