New Bedford-Alvarim B. Cabral age 75 years died Friday July 16th at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Costa) Cabral of New Bedford. Mr. Cabral was the father of Dina Cabral and her companion Derek Melo of New Bedford, and grandfather of Devin T. Melo. Alvarim was the brother of Carlos Costa, Maria Neves both of CA., and Eziquiel Cabral of Canada and the late Armando Costa and Maria Goes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cabral was a son of the late Felipe and Rosa (da Costa) Cabral. He was born in Praira da Vitoria, Terceira, Azores, Portugal and lived in this area since 1973. Mr. Cabral worked as a machine operator at Columbia Electronics until his retirement.
Mr. Cabral’s Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Tuesday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated. Visiting hours will be Monday 5-8 P.M. PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS
