Obituary

Dr. Eolo DeRosa of Shrewsbury, MA, formerly of Andover, MA, passed away at the age of 87 on July 14, 2010. He was a graduate of Phillips Academy, Harvard University, and McGill University Medical School. Eolo had a distinguished 50 year medical career. He was a private practitioner in Lawrence, Waltham and Boston, MA. His appointments included Chief ENT with several Boston Hospitals; Chief of ENT at the VA Medical Centers of Boston, MA and Providence RI; A Fellow of the American Academy of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Clinical Professor of Surgery at Brown University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1948 and in the U.S. Air Force as a Lieutenant and Flight Surgeon from 1952 to 1954. He had many interests including playing several instruments. Eolo, a true Renaissance man, was an accomplished, yet humble man who was loved and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his son Dennis DeRosa and wife, Laurie Campbell-DeRosa of Framingham, MA, daughters: Jeanne Adams of San Antonio, TX, and Elaine Schupak and husband, Martin Schupak of Valley Cottage, NY, his wife Joyce Brecia-DeRosa of Shrewsbury, MA as well as a brother Dino DeRosa of Methuen, MA, seven nephews and nieces and nine devoted grandchildren.
