MEREDITH, CHARLES T., 89, passed away at his home while sleeping on Tuesday, July 13, 2010. After serving in World War II and cooking for General Patton, he became a successful business man. He was inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame in 2001. He owed Charlie's Mobile Home and shared ownership with Purple People Pleasers. Charlie spent greater than 25 years in the recreation Vehicle Dealers Association.
Survivors include his two children, Steve Meredith (Becky), and Faye Meredith-Edelen (Joe); long time companion and caregiver, Diane Pryor; sister, Edna Schrader; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Stacy, Whitney, and Ty; two great grandchildren, Taylor Grace, and Charlie; and a long time friend, John Armes.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be noon - 3 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. on Friday.
Special gratitude to all who helped care for Charlie. He will be missed by many.
