Obituary

Mr. Domenic V. DiCenso, age 91 of Tewksbury, formerly of Revere died Wednesday at home surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. He was the husband of Dora (DeAcetis) DiCenso with whom he shared more than 61 years of marriage. Mr. DiCenso was born in Italy, son of the late Donato and Anna (DiMascio) DiCenso. He and his wife came to the U.S. in 1953 and settled in Boston’s North End. He lived for a few years in Medford but was a longtime Revere resident. He moved to Tewksbury in 2005. He worked as a Mason in the construction industry. His favorite pastime was walking on Revere Beach. He loved to cook, garden and travel. He will be remembered as a wonderful storyteller and had a unique ability to make you laugh. Mr. DiCenso was a veteran of the Italian Navy and had been a POW during WWII. He was a loving husband, father grandfather and brother. He is survived by two daughters: Anna O'Brien of Billerica, Rita Prevost and her husband Stephen of Tewksbury. Grandfather of Janeen, James & Jennifer O'Brien, Matthew McGonigle; Emily & Rachel Prevost. He also leaves two sisters in Italy, Juliette & Rosa DiCenso. Brother of the late Carmen, Anthony, John, Raphael & Filomena DiCenso. Funeral from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home 306 Main Street MEDFORD, on Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 660 Washington Street Revere at 10 am. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm. Entombment will follow at the Woodlawn Community Mausoleum, Everett.
