Priscilla L. Pelletier, 93, formerly of Derry, NH died Wednesday July 14, 2010 in the Littleton Regional Hospital, Littleton, NH after a period of failing health. Mrs. Pelletier was born in Windham, NH on September 21, 1916, daughter of the late Frederic and Ethel (Bloomfield) Low. She had been living in Dalton and Lisbon, NH for the past three years, a former longtime resident of Derry and Sandown, NH. Mrs. Pelletier was a 1934 graduate of Woodbury High School in Salem, NH and in 1937 from Plymouth Normal School, Plymouth, NH. She then began her teaching career in a one room school house on Island Pond Road in Derry with seven students and later taught at the Oak Street School in Derry. She was a former member of the Sixty Plus Club of Sandown and the Timberlane Chapter of Retired Educators. Mrs. Pelletier enjoyed bowling, her flower garden, cooking, playing cards and especially loved spending time with her family. She was predeceased in 2007 by her husband of 62 years, Leo O. Pelletier.
She is survived by her three daughters, Jane Graham and her husband David of Lisbon, Linda Greenwood and her husband Gary of Dalton, and Sandra Goodchild and her husband Alan of Manchester, her son, James Pelletier and his wife Lynda of Candia, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday July 19, 2010 at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rockingham VNA-Hospice, 137 Epping Rd., Exeter, NH 03833 or to the charity of one's choice.
