Obituary

Thomas Lennon, 43, of Mattapoisett, died January 24, 2002 at Mariner Healthcare of Southeastern Massachusetts after a long illness.

He was the loving husband of Christine Anne (Kowalczyk) Lennon, and son of Ralph DiGiacomo of Walpole and the late Barbara (Coakley) DiGiacomo, and James A. Lennon of Wethersfield, CT.

Born in Worcester and raised in Medfield, he lived in Connecticut for several years before moving to Mattapoisett 5 years ago.

Mr. Lennon was formerly employed as the club manager at Beverly Yacht Club for 2 years until retiring due to illness. He also held management positions at The Country Club in Brookline, the Woodland Golf Club of Newton, the Braeburn Country Club of Newton, the Paterson Country Club, Fairfield, CT, the Ridgewood Country Club, Danbury, CT and Old Lyme Country Club, Old Lyme, CT. He was a member of Club Managers of Connecticut and Massachusetts.

He was an avid golfer and fisherman and member of the Sippican Rod and Gun Club and the Medfield Sportsmen's Club. He enjoyed the company of his dog, Aussie".

Survivors include his wife Christine; a son, Patrick Thomas Lennon of Mattapoisett; a daughter, Jennifer Catherine Lennon of Mattapoisett; his stepfather and father; 2 brothers, Anthony J. Lennon of Stafford, Conn., and Christopher T. Lennon of Medfield; 3 sister, Dierdre Lennon of Tampa, FL, Dorothy Lennon-Champagne of Alpharetta, GA, and Catherine Jackson of Lincoln, RI; 2 stepbrothers, John DiGiacomo of Taunton and Paul DiGiacomo of Norfolk; 2 stepsisters, Debbie DiGiacomo and Margo Vinal, both of Medfield ; 2 aunts, Eleanor Lennon of Wethersfield, Conn., and Mary Gushie of Palm Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Monday, January 28th at 9:30 AM.Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church at 11 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Visiting hours Sunday, January 27th from 4-7 PM.

Interment private.
