Tilton-----George Henri Lacourse, 67, of 6 Windsor Drive, died at his home on Sunday, July 11, 2010.
Mr. Lacourse was born February 22, 1943 in Manchester, N.H., the son of Joseph and Eva (Alexandra) Lacourse. He lived in Belmont for several years before moving to Tilton two months ago. He had been employed at Fay’s Boat Yard for nineteen years before retiring in January, 2006.
Mr. Lacourse loved to ride his Harley-Davidson and spending time with friends and family.
Mr. Lacourse is survived by his wife, Deborah (Wood) Lacourse, of Tilton; two sons, Robert Lacourse of Candia and Michael Silva of Keene; three daughters, Sharon Therrien of Concord, Katie Lacourse of Winnisquam and Joie Lacourse of Laconia; five grandchildren, Eden Bedard of Brooksville, Florida, Matthew Jenkerson of Boscawen, Kali Lacourse of Candia, Iva Therrien and Nora Silva both of Concord and his unborn sixth grandchild; two sisters, Helen Gerber of Mass. and Irene Ricard of Lakeland, Florida; two nieces and eight nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lacourse was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Lacourse.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at The Margate Resort in the Mariah Room, 76 Lake Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in George’s name may be made to the Franklin Visiting Nurse Assoc., 75 Chestnut Street, Franklin, NH 03235.
