LAWRENCE – Anthony Ralph Pezone 89 of Lawrence died Thursday July 8, 2010 at Lawrence General Hospital.
Born and educated in Everett, MA he was the son of Raffaele and Elizabeth (Mottolese) Pezone. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. For 40 years he was the head baker for Tripoli Bakery retiring in 1986. Anthony was very involved with the Special Needs Boy Scouts Troop # 49 and received a 10 year service pin.
He leaves his wife of 64 years Gloria T. (Fusco) Pezone of Lawrence and is survived also by his children, Lauretta T. Mona and her husband Joseph of Hudson, NH, Theodore F. “Ted” Pezone of Lawrence and Paul A. Pezone and his wife Sharon of Derry, NH.
Five grandchildren Meredith Mona, MD, Marcus Mona, JD, Paul A. Pezone, Jr, Michael Pezone and Matthew Pezone.
Several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Fidelity House 598 Haverhill Street Lawrence. MA 01841. At the request of the family there are no calling hours. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish/Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery also in Lawrence. MA.
