Terry Lee Hartsgrove, 55, Clarksville, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 11, 2010, in Clarksville. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. A graveside service will be held in October with date and time to be announced at Southside Cemetery in Skowhegan, Maine . Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born in Hartland, Maine August 25, 1954, He served in the USMC from 1971-75 and the US Army from 1977-1988. Ending his military service while stationed at Ft. Campbell, Ky, he and his family Jo Godin and daughters Katy and Amy Hartsgrove returned to Skowhegan, Maine for a brief time. As a civilian Terry worked for various companies as an electrician in Tennessee. Though he and Jo divorced after twenty five years, they remained friends to the day of his death. Terry was predeaceased by his parents, Edmund and Tillie Hartsgrove and sisters, Norma Libby, Joan Cayford, and Linda Robinson. He is survived by his daughters Katy (Luke) Phillips and Amy Hartsgrove; his ex-wife, Jo Godin; his grandchildren, Caleb Baty and Clara Phillips; his brothers, Ron, Ed, George, Alan, Ralph, and Larry Hartsgrove; his sisters, Diana Demmons, Nettie Albair, Debbie Turcotte, and Brenda Hei. Terry had numerous nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts, cousins and friends. He had a special relationship with his girlfriend, Caroline Austin and her children Tarralee Smith and Brent Austin who all mourn him as family. His ex-inlaws remained family and will have "Hartsgrove" stories to tell for their lifetime. He loved you all too! His friends and family in Maine and Tennessee will never forget his personality, wit, and humor. It is a special person that when everyone mentions his name has a smile on his face.
