Patricia A. Makar 63, of Aylsworth Ave. died Thursday at Landmark Medical Center. She was born in WoonsocketJuly 25, 1946, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Yvonne (Bourbeau) Carolo. At the time of her death she was employed at Atria Lincoln Place as a receptionist. She had previously worked in the circulation department for The Call for many years. She was an active Board Member of the Woonsocket Board of Tenant Affairs for several years serving as Treasurer.
Patricia is survived by her son Joseph Makar of Blackstone, MA, two sisters, Pauline Torchia and her husband Anthony of Coral Springs, FL, and Madeleine
L'Esperance and her husband Richard of Woonsocket, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews including her goddaughter Michelle Wheeler of Warwick, and a grandson Brian Michael Makar Smith. She was also the mother of the late Stephen and Brian Makar.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-8 PM.
