In Taunton, July 8, 2010 Royce C. died in his home with his loving family by his side at the age of 43. Royce was the husband of Jennifer (Moore) Sleeper of Taunton. Born in Millinocket, Maine and formerly of Crystal, Maine and Sherman Mills, Maine, Royce was the son of Leo "Gove" Sleeper of Sherman Mills, Maine and the late Marilyn (Hysom) O'Lalor. He was educated at Katahdin High School class of 1984 in Maine. Royce was employed with Clark, Cutler & McDermott Textile Co. in Franklin, Ma and before that Newcomb Farms Restaurant in Milton, Ma. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, softball, woodworking, sports with his son Rocky and long walks with his daughter Gabby. He was the loving father of Royce C. “Rocky” Sleeper and Gabrielle M. Sleeper both of Taunton. Brother of Derrell Hysom of Maine, Leland Stetson of Alaska, Holly Sheffield of Taunton, Ma, Crystal Eroglu of Randolph, Ma, Gloria Skirvin of Conn, Kathy Skiba of Washington State, Christopher Sleeper of Gardner, Ma, Leo Sleeper of Maine, Mary Farist of Georgia and the late Olin Hysom. Uncle of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Saturday, July 17th at 10:30 AM. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be private.
