TEWKSBURY: Deborah A. Billings, age 51, a longtime resident of Tewksbury, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, following a brief illness.
She was the devoted mother of Meaghan E. Billings of Tewksbury.
Born in Melrose on July 16, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Richard O. Billings and the late Nancy V. (Leland) Billings.
Deb was raised in Tewksbury, attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1976. Following graduation, she attended and later graduated from North Adams State College.
Prior to her illness, she was employed as branch manager by the Westaff Agency in Billerica and Braintree.
Deb was an active supporter and volunteer for the Tewksbury Memorial High School Girls and Boys Soccer Programs.
She enjoyed vacationing with her daughter and family in Rockport. In addition, Deb loved caring for animals especially her three dogs.
In addition to her daughter Meaghan, she is survived by two brothers, Richard L. Billings and his wife Gail and Daniel P. Billings all of Marblehead; her niece, Jennifer Billings and her nephew, Christopher Billings, both of Marblehead.
Calling hours Monday, July 12, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Tuesday, July 13, at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445.
