Obituary

Gerard H. Sevigny, 68, of Arlington St., Berlin, NH passed away on Wednesday July 7, 2010 surrounded by his family at AVH, after a short illness. He was born in Berlin on February 20, 1942 the son of the late Leon and Mariane (Parent) Sevigny. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the City of Berlin Water Works for 37 years. Jerry’s family was the most important thing in his life. He loved nothing more than doing things for them or spending time with them. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt rabbit and deer as well as ice fishing. He enjoyed working in his yard as well as growing a magnificent garden which he shared with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Claire (Lacasse) Sevigny; his son Normand and his wife Nona; four daughters Jeanne and husband Roland Riendeau, Rita and husband Michael Fournier, Nancy and husband Jeffrey Guay and Joanne and husband Michael Parent. He loved his seven grandchildren: Tucker Riendeau, Nicole (Riendeau) and her husband Jason Dumont, Nicholas Fournier, Kayla Guay, Kyle Guay, Jordan and Justin Parent. He is also survived by two sisters Anita Roy and Lorraine Sevigny, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday July 14, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Anne Cemetery for family and friends. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, PO Box 96305, Washington, DC, 20077-7215. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
