Franklin Harbuck, 70, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 9, 2010 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Carroll and Rev. Robert McDearmid officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Ben Hill County. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Harbuck was born March 28, 1940 in Fitzgerald to the late Claude G. and Halloween Dorminy Harbuck. He lived in Fitzgerald most of his life. Mr. Harbuck received his Mechanical Engineering degree from South Georgia Technical College in Americus. He moved to Atlanta in 1960 where he worked for Owens Illinois Glass and Coca Cola USA. Mr. Harbuck moved back to Fitzgerald in 1972. He was a former employee of Tollison Lumber Company and currently was a truck driver for Walmart. He was a member and Deacon of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Brown Harbuck; son: Guy L. Harbuck; grandchildren: Leah K. Harbuck and Wesley F. Harbuck, all of Fitzgerald. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carlton Harbuck.
