Laura Hanscom Hoseason of Amherst NH, formerly of Boxford Massachusetts died Tuesday morning at the Community Hospice House of Merrimack NH.
Laura was the wife of the late Robert Hoseason. She was born in Marblehead on January 2, 1926, daughter of the late Charles Hanscom and Mary (Osgood) Hanscom. She was the sister of the late Dot Cashman and Alice Hamilton.
Laura is survived by 8 of her 9 children, Diane Todino of Charleston, SC, Susan Krikstone of Easton, CT, Robert Hoseason of Woonsocket, RI, Nancy Mongeon of Amherst, NH, Peter Hoseason of Bolton, MA, Ann Donovan of Townsend, MA, Joan Fontaine of Ashland, MA and Carol Hallowell of Nashua, NH, as well as 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late David Hoseason.
Laura’s greatest pride and joy in her life was her family. Her biggest pleasures were weekend and holiday gatherings at her home with all of her children and grandchildren present. She has left us all with many happy memories and smiles and will be greatly missed.
Friends are invited to call from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 9th at the Charles F. Dewhirst Andover Funeral Home, 33 Pearson Street, Andover, MA. A funeral service in her honor will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Boxford. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Laura’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Community Hospice House of Merrimack NH.
