Barnd, Frances R. Dooley (Peckio) age 83, died peacefully July 4, 2010. She was born in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, New York September 6, 1927. In 1954 she relocated to Teaneck, New Jersey where she resided for 23 years before moving to Paramus. After many years of service she retired from the County of Bergen. Prior to that she was employed by the Township of Teaneck. She enjoyed reading, politics, art and traveling. She will be remembered for her love of family, intelligence, a very special sense of humor and her graceful style.
Mrs. Barnd was predeceased by her husband George. She is survived by her five children; Ellen Peckio of Midland Park, Joan Peckio Carini and her husband Joseph of Kinnelon, Kathleen Peckio of Toms River, Nicholas Peckio and his wife Cleo of Hawthorne and James Peckio and his wife Melissa of Midland Park. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren; Kelly, James, Eric, Tyler and Casey.
Cremation will be private. Family and friends are invited to gather Friday, July 9, 2010 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at the Volk Leber Funeral, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cystic Fibrosis Research, www.cfri.org would be appreciated.
