Edward J “Ed’ Miller 67 passed away Tuesday July 6, 2010 at Audubon Hospital. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam, a former sales rep. for Stanley Tools, former sheriff for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Dept., former Chief of Police, for WestPoint Ky. and a former Code Enforcement Officer for Jefferson County. Ed also was a member of the Sheriff’s Lodge #25. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward J. and Frances Miller, and Lisa Burns. Ed is survived by his loving companion of 24 years Debbie Burns, his son Jason Miller Paynter, (Dr. Mary Herrick), sister Jenny Price (Mike) ,Aunt Joanne Haddad, and nephew Chris Price. 3 grandsons: Douglas, Davis, and Luke. Numerous cousins, several nieces and nephews. Last Ed leaves behind his loving 4 legged friends: Buddy,Bella,Lucy,Opie,and Fanny. His service will be Friday 10:30 am at St. Paul Catholic Church 6901 Dixie Hwy. Burial in Calvary cemetery. Visitation Thursday 2pm to 8 pm at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
