Obituary

Worcester- Regina (Rozevicius) Skavicius, 86, of 98 Harrison St., died Tuesday, Nov. 11, in St. Vincent Hospital.

Her husband, Jonas Skavicius, died in 1997. She leaves two brothers, Valerijonas Rozevicius, of Worcester, with whom she lived; Feliksas Rozevicius of Toronto, Ontario; a sister, Irena Rozevicius of Worcester; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, Vladas Rozevicius, Petras Rozevicius, and Juozas Rozevicius. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Mary Kazlauskas and Sophia Vilkas. She was born in Latvia, daughter of Aleksandras and Ona (Maciulskas) Rozevicius, and was raised and educated in Lithuania.

She and her family fled to Germany in 1944 and emigrated to the United States in 1950. She lived in Cleveland, Ohio, for 41 years, moving back to Worcester in 1997.Mrs. Skavicius was a teacher in Kybartai, Lithuania.

She was a member of St. Casimir Parish and a former member of L.M.M. Ratelis.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 15, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in the funeral home. Contributions maybe made to St. Casimir Church, Building Fund, 41 Providence St., Worcester, MA 01604.
