Catherine Elizabeth Hauff, 52 of Windham, NH died Saturday July 3, 2010 at her home. Cathe was born in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada on February 17, 1958, daughter of Hughie Cox and the late Patricia (Sumpton) Cox. Cathe married Ron R. Hauff on April 19, 1986 and in May of 1987 their first child, Amanda, was born in Calgary, Alberta. She and Ron moved to Fairfield, CT in March 1989 shortly after their second child, Adam was born. They later moved to Virginia in 1992 where Cathe gave birth to their youngest child, Alexander. It was clear that Cathe's roll in life was to raise her children to be successful adults.
Cathe enjoyed planting flowers and plants, even though she never claimed to have a green thumb for gardening. She and Ron enjoyed their yearly trip to Brimfield, CT, strolling through the booths seeking out antique treasures. Cathe enjoyed the holidays, the tradition of muffins on Christmas morning and bringing stockings to bed on Christmas morning to open. Everyone enjoyed pancakes, waffles and her homemade syrup on Sunday mornings.
Cathe brought tremendous joy to all of her family, sharing her love, devotion and guidance through the years. She will truly be missed so very much.
Cathe is survived by her loving husband, Ron Hauff of Windham, her wonderful children, Amanda Hauff of Manhattan, NY, Adam Hauff of Wellesley, MA, and Alexander Hauff of Hamden, CT, her father, Hughie Cox of Winnipeg, Manitoba, her siblings, John Cox of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Jackie Dewar and Janet Berrard both of Winnipeg, Manitoba, also several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, the family held private graveside services at the New Plains Cemetery, Windham. Memorial contributions may be made to Norris Cotton Cancer Center, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are handling arrangements for the family.
