Abington – Rose M. (Bombardier) Stodder 92, formerly of Holbrook, died Tuesday June 29 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Stodder, Jr.
Born and raised in Abington she was the daughter of the late Henry N. and Cecilia (Chaisson) Bombardier and a graduate of Abington High.
Rose had been a resident of Holbrook from 1940-1997 before returning to Abington 13 years ago. While residing in Abington she was a member of the Senior Citizens and a communicant of St. Bridget Church.
She is survived by her loving children Janet Harris and William H. Stodder III and his wife Vincenza all of Abington, her brother Ralph Bombardier of AZ, her 4 grandchildren Michael and Brian Harris and Jennifer and Katie Stodder as well as 4 great grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George, Richard and Carl Bombardier and Lillian Stodder.
Her service will be held Saturday July 3 at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed a funeral mass at 9 AM in St. Bridget Church, Abington. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, Holbrook. Visiting hours will be held Friday July 2 from 5-8 PM. Donations in her name may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice.
