Laconia, NH-----Thomas G. Stuart, 88, formerly of 16 Windmill Lane, Laconia, N.H. died peacefully on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Watson Fields Assisted Living Facility in Dover, N.H.
Mr. Stuart was born October 18, 1921 in Boston, Mass., the son of Gerald and Bridget Moroney Stuart. He attended Boston College and served in the United States Marine Corps, retiring with the rank of Colonel.
Mr. Stuart resided in Laconia, N.H. for twenty years before moving to New York. He was employed by the New England Telephone Company for thirty-five years.
Mr. Stuart was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Laconia, N.H.
Mr. Stuart is survived by his children Thomas G. Stuart, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Portsmouth N.H., Richard Stuart and his wife Kelly of Wallkill, New York, Janet (Stuart) Ciano and her husband Salvatore of Royal Palm, Florida and Mary Katherine Stuart and her fiancé David Di Martino of Cranston, Rhode Island, Paul Stuart and his wife Cathleen of Londonderry, N.H, grandchildren Jeff, John, Brian, Michael, Daniel, Meghan, Torey, William, Ellen, Gillen, Anne, Jack and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Katherine (Daley) Stuart in 1980, by his brother, Vincent, and by two grandchildren, Katherine and David.
Calling hours will be held from 6:00-8:00PM on Thursday, July 1, 2010 in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N.H.
Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia, N.H.
