Robert L. Lamont, 81 years, of East Bridgewater, passed away June 29, 2010 at West Acres Nursing Home. He was the husband of Dorothy J. (Lane) Lamont. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Ann McDonald and Robert Lamont. He was raised in Franklin, was a graduate of Franklin High School and also attended Wentworth Institute of Technology. He was a veteran of Korea who served with the US Army. For many years Bob had been employed by JC Codman & Company in Rockland, retiring in 1983. Following his retirement he moved to Apollo Beach, FL where he and his wife were involved with property management, and returned to East Bridgewater in 2002. Bob loved camping and was a member of the South Shore Chapter 25 NAFCA. He also enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and was an avid fan of the New England Revolution Soccer Club.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Matthew R. Lamont and his wife Jennifer of Weymouth, Cathy Duford and her husband Joseph, and Jeanne Culberhouse all of Brockton; six grandchildren Thomas Duford and his wife Gretchen of Raleigh, NC, Sarah Duford of Mansfield, Jaclyn Becker of Raleigh, NC, Brittany Lamont, Summer Lamont and David Cazeau all of Weymouth and four great grandchildren Shane and Tyler Buss of PA and Benjamin and Olivia Duford of NC.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial at a later date. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8pm.
