Bruce J. Lindsay 65 of Provincetown died June 20, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his friends following a long illness. Born in Bristol, RI he was the son of the late Joseph and Ruth (August) Lindsay. He attended Johnson & Wales University, Providence Campus where he studied hospitality. Mr. Lindsay worked in the hospitality field in food management over the years. He worked for the Oakwood Retirement Centers in Rhode Island before moving to Provincetown. He was the reservation manager at Crown & Anchor in Provincetown prior to his recent retirement.
He is survived by his sister Joan Lindsay of New Bedford. He was the brother of the late Morgan Lindsay and Mary Campbell. Besides his sister he leaves many close friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on July 21, 2010 from 4 – 6pm at the Crown & Anchor Cabaret Room 247 Commercial St. Provincetown with a reception to follow with light hors d'oevres provided by Rick Murray and Bill Dougal. In lieu of flowers contributions to defray the funeral costs would be appreciated.
